Privacy Policy
This policy applies to visits and interactions on shadow-mac.com. Please distinguish this website’s data handling from the practices of the app itself and the App Store.
1. Scope and information you submit
This is the official Shadowrocket for Mac website and manual. Its static pages provide guidance on verifying the genuine app, configuring it, and troubleshooting issues. This policy covers information handling when you visit this site; it does not replace the privacy disclosures Apple or the Shadowrocket app provides for their respective services.
This site has no registration, sign-in, or email collection forms, and does not ask you to submit your name, payment details, subscription URLs, or server credentials. When following a guide, handle any existing subscription or server information only in the app. Do not include passwords, keys, or links containing access credentials in this site’s URLs.
This site does not provide, sell, or recommend nodes or subscriptions. The app is a one-time purchase; that is separate from any network service you arrange yourself.
2. Visit data and analytics
This site uses analytics to understand page views, content use, and clicks on App Store links. This information helps improve navigation and manual content and identify unusual traffic. When you click an App Store button, the site may record the page and click event. This does not indicate whether a purchase was completed.
Web requests and analytics may involve visit times, page paths, referring pages, browser and device categories, language, and network request details. The infrastructure serving these pages may also log IP addresses, request statuses, and error details for content delivery, security, and troubleshooting.
This processing is not intended to collect in-app connection logs or configuration content. A click on an App Store button does not give this site access to your Apple Account, order, or payment information. Avoid adding personal information to URL parameters, as page addresses may be included in visit logs.
3. Cookies, local storage, and browser controls
Depending on the analytics setup in use, cookies or similar browser identifiers may be used to distinguish visits and aggregate browsing activity. Whether anything is stored, for how long, and which items are stored depends on what your browser actually records for this site. Not all analytics necessarily require cookies.
Some site interaction states may be stored in the current page or its URL fragment. Local storage and cookies are separate mechanisms, so clearing one does not necessarily clear the other. Your browser cache may also retain resources from pages you have visited.
You can use your browser settings to view, restrict, or delete this site’s cookies, website data, and cached files, and use any tracking prevention features your browser provides. Restricting scripts or storage may affect analytics and some interactions, but static page content remains available. Clearing browser data does not delete server-side visit records already created.
4. App Store links and purchases
Shadowrocket is available only on Apple platforms. The only way to get it is through the App Store product page. Apple operates that page. Browsing, account verification, purchases, and payments after you follow the link are subject to Apple’s terms and privacy policy.
When you follow a link, your browser sends a request to the destination page and may share referral information according to your browser’s settings. This site does not handle payments or ask for purchase credentials. Prices, compatibility, system requirements, and purchase eligibility are as stated on the App Store page.
5. Policy updates and access to information
This policy may be revised if the site’s features, analytics practices, or applicable requirements change. The month of the latest update will be shown at the top of this page. Significant changes to the scope of data handling will be explained on relevant pages. We recommend reviewing this policy before using new interactive features.
This policy does not specify a standard retention period for visit logs or analytics data; actual handling depends on the purpose of the records and the site’s configuration. To check how a page works or troubleshoot an access issue, see the FAQ or Getting Started. These pages do not collect private configurations or account details.
